Texas Education Agency (TEA) has announced and released a school safety grant program. It is $400 million in grant dollars made available by state leadership through budget execution.
What does the Grant say?
Texas Schools: §61.1031, School Safety and Security Standards Compliance Requirements (*excerpt from Texas School Safety Grant):
All entry & windows adjacent to an exterior door need safety film (forced entry resistant film) installed to slow entry.
All ground-floor windows that could easily be broken to obtain entry need to receive safety film (forced entry resistant film) installed to delay an intruder from entry.
